Nouvelle Vague, the French band that conquered the world with bossa nova covers of punk and new wave classics, return to New York this summer to play The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza on June 17th. The band's NYC show will be the one of the first in their tour across the USA and Europe.
Their third album 3 (US release date tba) features Depeche Mode's Martin Gore, Ian McCulloch of Echo And The Bunnymen, Terry Hall of the Specials and Funboy Three Magazine's "Parade" sung by Barry Adamson. Aside from the reggae and bossa nova interpretations, the songs are also inspired by country music and bluegrass. For this is what Nouvelle Vague do best; they take the songs that you adore and make you fall in love with them all over again.
