Have a Happy New Year w/ Common and Rye Rye

    December 29th, 2009

    2

Not sure about you but it’s hard for us to look fabulous on New Year’s Eve drunk on champagne in eight inches of snow. So why don’t you break out your brand new Jimmy Choos and come ring in the New Year at the stunningly chic Delano Hotel, amid South Beach, Miami’s 75 degree temperatures.

Common will be performing inside The Florida Room, which holds only 200 people, with DJ Tommy Ryk stimulating your mind and your body. In case you don’t feel like being inside when the clock strikes midnight, Poolside, we will have Rye Rye shaking it down with DJ Mateo DiFontaine. And if all that isn’t enough, from 10pm-1am there will be an open bar included in the price of your ticket. Now tell us if you can think of a better place to be.

RSVP and TICKETS are a must for both events! So hurry up because they are going fast.

The Secretly Famous Spy from Cairo

    December 17th, 2009

albumThe Spy From Cairo is secretly Moreno Visini, the artist formerly known as Zeb, who’s reimerged with a new album, Secretly Famous. An effort by The Spy From Cairo to consolidate as much Middle Eastern music as possible, every track focuses on a particular style of music from the Arab countries – all with his signature Afro, Dub and electronic stylings – from the fierce sounds of the Mizmar and Nay in “Nayphony” (which is an adaptation of traditional Jordanian music) to “Ana Arabi,” a song about being an Arab (not a terrorist) with beautifully sung lyrics by Ghalia Benali.
