DJ L.E brings us another brilliant mix, giving you 18 ways to say 'I love you'. Now we know V-Day was last week or something and we have all probably reached our saturation point as far the color red and heart-shaped items are concerned, but come on... who doesn't love love songs?

The new album from Ghostpoet, Peanut Butter Blues and Melancholy Jam, comes with the Gilles Peterson stamp of approval - it was released this month on the Brownswood record label, and singles like "Cash and Carry Me Home" and "Liiines" have been heavily played on the GPWW radio show for months now. Since the US release on February 4th, Ghostpoet has received praise from all kinds of press:

Gilles Peterson continues his journey as a global force, this week bringing a mix by Deep Space Orchestra, the electronic UK duo. First he digs into all kinds of new music, including Duffstep, Penguin Café, Rick Wilhite, Mr Raoul K, Bibio, Al Quetz and The Stepkids (a hipsterish rock group, the latest signing to Stones Throw Records). Gilles also takes a moment to honor the recently deceased, legendary Jazz pianist George Shearing. You might be interested to learn that George Shearing had a Latin music streak as you'll hear in his rendition of Horace Silver's "Senor Blues" - we learn new something every week from this show. Deep Space Orchestra comes in with a mix of their own stuff and their favorites including Cottam, Chateau Fight, Bicep and KRL. Afterwards, Gilles closes it up with a few of his musical staples: James Blake and Ramadanman.

On Saturday, March 12th, Giant Step heads south to the sunny beaches of Miami, FL for an exclusive Winter Music Conference DJ set at The Florida Room at Delano by Questlove with MC Yameen Allworld. On March 5th, Bilal brings his own live band to the windy city for a rare Chicago performance by the Philadelphia-born Soulquarian. Bilal's 2010 album Airtight's Revenge was arguably one of the best soul albums of the year, getting incredible feedback from both his peers and the press. The remixes, the covers and videos that came along with it were all leading to this - the tour. If you're in Chicago next weekend, catch Bilal at The Shrine, presented by Giant Step and Dusty Groove, to experience the voice Janelle Monáe once described as a Van Gogh painting.
