Who doesn’t love to see legendary musicians still doing their thing? Roy Ayers is one of those legends. He’s taken advantage of his status in modern music, scooping up a younger audience with his heavily-sampled “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” as well as touring and recording with younger artists.

2011 will see a lot of Ayers. According to his website, he will be releasing three new albums this year, plus a documentary (trailer above) The Roy Ayers Project. Check out an example of the new Roy after the jump, in his video for “Everybody Groovin.”

Jamie Woon Video – “Lady Luck”

A good musical rule of thumb: never forget a Brownswood Bubbler. We were introduced to Jamie Woon on his track “Wayfaring Stranger,” a single off Vol 2 of the Brownswood Bubbler series (2007). Since then, he’s seen working on his debut full-length album to be released April 11th, mirrorwriting. Check out this video for the single “Lady Luck” above,  “Night Air” and a sweet “Lady Luck” remix by Hudson Mohawk.
