Vieux Farka Touré is one to know; after all, he did perform in front of a billion people at the 2010 World Cup in Johannesburg, South Africa. Not surprisingly, he’s become “one of the most celebrated African guitarists in history.” His latest record, The Secret, was released late last month and is produced by Eric Krasno of the famed Soulive. The feature list is also impressive, including guest spots from Dave Matthews, John Scofield, Derek Trucks, and of course his legendary father, Ali Farka Touré.
