New Release: The Funk Ark – ‘From The Rooftops’ + MP3

DC-based world funk ensemble The Funk Ark has just released their debut album, From The Rooftops, and might we say that it’s quite uplifting. Drawing inspiration from African and Latin funk music of the 60′s and 70′s, The Funk Ark oozes a soulful vintage sound channeling Afrobeat and big band funk.

Keyboardist and songwriter Will Rast, well known for his work with the likes of Thievery Corporation and Ocote Soul Sounds, fronts the eight-piece band. The man is bringing it and taking listeners on a global funk journey that will have you melting into the dancefloor.

Catch The Funk Ark on tour this and next month!
