Video: Pollyn – “Sometimes You Just Know”

In August we happily bounced to a Portishead cover by Pollyn a la “Mysterons,” and today the bouncing continues in a whole new way. If you enjoy the LA band’s lighthearted vibe like we do, you’ll love their “Sometimes You Just Know” tune and video.

The song is more upbeat than the group’s usual low-key vibe and is coupled with a similarly playful video. 25 rollercoasters and thrill rides were rode over the course of 3 days to create the visual above. Yes, they rode the rollercoasters over and over again to get the right shots. If anything, an impressive feat to sing upside down while going hella fast.

Video – Duran Duran – “Girl Panic”

Sensational might be a word. Epic. Tantalizing. Timeless. Duran Duran have gone and done something very, very, very special for the video to their anthemic “Girl Panic.” Apparently being the first to use models in their videos, they’ve outdone themselves by taking some of the most immortalized supermodels to create a mini-doc and music video.

Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen, and Yasmin Le Bon pose as individual members of the famed band, answering interview questions, partying their behinds off, and rocking a very swanky affair.

Absolutely incredible. The whole video plays out like the pages of Harper’s Bazaar or Vogue Italia. The ladies fronting like the guys in the “interviews” can be quite entertaining as well.
