Video: Robin Hannibal – “Amends”

Back in September, Robin Hannibal of Quadron released his Bobby EP – his first solo work as a producer, vocalist, and musician. The video above is for “Amends,” an angelic, transient tune set against a romantic black and white visual scape. A very serene and dapper Hannibal takes a stroll around town only to end up at a very important destination.

The newest release from Florence + The Machine’s Ceremonials album is a video for “No Light, No Light.” Their music and videos seem to never have a shortage of grandeur and drama; Here, Florence hangs off a high rise building and a masked man conducts a secret ceremony as a group of church boys mysteriously stand by. And as always, the visuals are bar setting.

Video: Mara Hruby – “Character”

[kml_flashembed movie="" width="550" height="445" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

Some of you met Mara Hruby via an artist spotlight we did back in June, while others probably still are needing to get their life together and get put on. Here’s another chance.

The latest from this Oakland based jazzy folky songstress is her video for her cover of Van Hunt’s “Character.”

The video is a warm dreamy documentation of Mara getting ready for an afternoon of strumming and singing with beautiful attention to all the pretty visual details that make up miss Hruby’s delicate beauty. At the end of the video, find a snippet of “The Love Below,” an original tune to be feature on Mara’s upcoming album.

So again, if you missed Mara’s EP of covers, From Her Eyes, you might want to catch her doing her paying homage to some of the greats of our time – The Roots, Andre 3000, D’Angelo, Van Hunt, Bob Marley, and Jamiroquai.
