Help Get Gilles Peterson Back ON BBC Radio 1

It was only in September that we found ourselves celebrating Gilles Peterson’s very first legal radio show on BBC Radio 1. Word is that Gilles’ Worldwide show has now been taken off BBC Radio 1 after 13 years. We have started a Facebook page to get him back on – please spread the word far and wide. Gilles cannot go!

Video: Jesse Boykins III – “Light To Dark”

In August, we had the pleasure of sharing Jesse Boykins III’s all too lovable “Back Home” video. Most recently, Joshua Kissi of Street Etiquette and Jesse’s wildly creative camp of comrades has churned out a raw video for “Light To Dark.” Actually a style blogger and sartorialist of sorts, the plan for Josh to direct Jesse’s video started out as a joke. We gotta say, dude captured the mood quite fully. Props to both dudes.

In case you missed it the first time, enjoy the Gold Panda produced EP for free.

Gotta love The Black Keys. Dan Auerbach’s voice is just fantastic. So it’s no surprise that we’re pretty much elated about El Camino coming out today. Above, enjoy their live performance video of “I Got Mine” from their album release show at Webster Hall in NYC yesterday! Hip swinging and vigorous head nods for days.

#RememberingAmy With ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’ + MP3

Today is a special day as we celebrate an artist with immeasurable talent and an endless well of potential who left us too soon. Amy Winehouse today releases Lioness: Hidden Treasures, a 12-track collection featuring unreleased material, alternate song versions from a woman who was known to bring something new with every delivery, and a couple of brand new compositions as well. The album was put together by longtime collaborators Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson along with input from Amy’s family. In the video above, hear Salaam Remi himself share the story behind Lioness. Below, we’re very excited to share a free download for a new track called “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?” as well.

Part of the album sales will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Let’s pay tribute to a great; please join us in #rememberingamy.
