Paris production duo, The Funk League, will be releasing their debut Funky As Usual on January 24th. Consisting of Hugo and Soulbrother Suspect, The Funk League focuses its work on paying homage to the boom-bap era of hip hop.

Above, you can find their absolutely charming video for “On & On” featuring Sadat X. Take a journey with 3D cardboard cutouts in an adorable diorama world. What an awesome concept – loving the animations. Great jazz vibe and horns on the track as well.

After the jump, check out another video, which features an interview on The Funk League’s history, inspirations, and upcoming album.

A day out from The Dreamer/The Believer and Common has dropped yet another video. In case you weren’t already getting enough with the album stream we posted last week, throw your hands up because it’s a celebration.

A suited Common looking debonaire as ever brings in the new year with some fly homies. We hope our new year’s eve is at least half as fun as this one looks.

Video: Saturn Never Sleeps Perform ‘Live At The Loft’

Another sweet installation from our homies at Live At The Loft. In the above video you’ll find the dreamy Saturn Never Sleeps concocting a melodic atmospheric rapture that we actually had the pleasure of witnessing live. We could think of at least a few activities we wish we were doing while listening to this.

High fives to King Britt and Rucyl for sharing their radical collaborative powers with us. Definitely looking forward to more from this project.

And as always, hats off to our compadres at the Loft. The volunteer run video project brings out some great acts and highlights some dope visual artists at the same time. In addition to Tone, the photo/video crew consists of King Texas, Joseph Marconi, Vinny Picone, Olivia Seally, and Ed Pages. Check em out.

Yay to fun projects that do cool things and support independent artists.

New Track: J*Davey – “Queen of Wonderland” (The Log.Os HeMix) + MP3

Late last month, one of our fave trippy duos, J*Davey released their New Designer Drug project. “Queen of Wonderland” is definitely our favorite single from the album and today we get to share a truly otherworldly remix.

Called “The Log.Os HeMix,” the track is more of a reinterpretation of the original track by LA producer and gallery owner Ken Barrientos, who hosted a pretty ill performance with Nikko Gray, you might recall. Enjoy the deconstructed digital wonderland that is this new soundscape.
