New Release: Miles Bonny & B.Lewis – ‘Egg Black’ EP

Prepare to have your senses overtaken once you hit play on Miles Bonny & B.Lewis’ new Egg Black EP. The seven track project doesn’t have a dull moment; moving through varied tempos and moods, it easily holds the listener’s attention. The theme is constant, however: a resonant electro-soul groove encapsulates you as if it were the only thing anywhere near your realm of consciousness, while Miles’ buttery voice massages your disposition into a welcome tranquility. Yeah, we’re good with that.

New Release: Zara McFarlane – ‘More Than Mine’ Limited Edition 7″

The elegant British jazz artist Zara McFarlane recently dropped a limited edition 7″ featuring two marvelous jams in celebration of Record Store Day. The first track is “More Than Mine,” starts off with a modest piano backing and then begins a riveting crescendo of a passionate conversation between horns – breathtaking. Second, you can find “Lions Of Chiaroscuro” – a delightful upbeat mash of Zara’s “Chiaroscuro” and the classic “Lions of Judah.” Stream below!

Video: Def Sound – “truly . bright .”

[kml_flashembed movie="" width="550" height="445" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

A self proclaimed emo creation by Los Angeles vocalist and rapper Def Sound after he was compelled to pull over his car and record this on the side of the road. He shares, “have you ever felt a feeling so dark that all you could do was create something neon through the distortion??” The product is the echoey hazy sunshine of a tune called “truly . bright .”

Enjoy the video above of a dreamy Def with his playful sugary rhymes backed by a hot half naked girl in black plastic hipster frames. This is the life.
