New Track: DJ Soko – “Biters” (ft. Guilty Simpson)

There basically might not be a such thing as too much Guilty Simpson. So of course we took a listen when we saw this “Biters” track appear in our inbox. Detroit native DJ Soko’s nostalgic scratching and Dallas producer Gensu Dean’s triumphant production provide the perfect backdrop for a gangsterly wobble or two. And Guilty? Is just Guilty.

New Track: Sam Roberts – “Let It In” (King Britt Je Ne Sais Quoi Remix) + MP3

One of our favorites, King Britt, recently did a remix for Canadian artist Sam Roberts and it’s hitting all the right nerves. Take a listen to the twinkling Je Ne Sais Quoi remix for “Let It In,” and let it brush over you with its breezy freshness. And just wait for the vocals to drop – ooh! We’re feeling it all over.

The World According To Jonesy – Radio Show #35

Jonesy continues the saga with a supremely rare selection of funk and soul tracks from the 60′s and 70′s. Kicking off the show with several mellow cuts from Black Ivory, Lawrence Hilton Jacobs, and Linda Lewis, Jonesy lights the set on fire with grooves from the Bionic Boogie and Coatimundi. It’s always an enlightening experience when you let Jonesy take you on a sonic journey deep into the forgotten sonic realms of our funk and soul forefathers.
