Video: Szjerdene – “Turn”

So if you have taste and what not, you’ve hopefully been steady rocking Szjerdene’s Patchwork, The EP that we hipped you to a couple weeks ago.

And if you’ve been doing what’s good for you, you already know and love one of our favorite tunes off the EP called “Turn.” The bewitching rock tinged lullaby is complemented with some very real indie film-esque visuals and a storyline that all too often hits home – how love can turn.

Remember when we all collectively lost our minds to that crazy crazy live performance Kimbra put on at the Spotify House at SXSW this year? Yeah.

Today, we have a cutesy lyric video from the super talented gal. The song is called “Two Way Street” and reminds us of a more flowery Esthero.

Rest In Peace, Adam Yauch

As many probably now know, Adam Yauch, co-founder of the Beastie Boys, passed away this morning after battling cancer for three years.

Inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this April, the Beastie Boys were seminal in introducing hip-hop to the American mainstream with songs like “Sabotage” and “Intergalactic” becoming instant anthems. Yauch was not only a fiercely entertaining and iconic rapper, he was also a film director and a political activist, creating the Milarepa Fund, a non-profit organization devoted to Tibetan independence.

Below, find the video for one of our favorite tracks, “Intergalactic,” and after the jump watch the classic video for “Sabotage.”

Video: Kendra Morris – “If You Didn’t Go”

Following up on her debut single “Concrete Waves,” which we featured in November, soul siren Kendra Morris now returns with a dreamy new tune called “If You Didn’t Go.” The video features fuzzy nostalgic visuals to go with the song’s mellow throwback soul somewhere in the vein of Fleetwood Mac.
