Already multi-platinum in Europe, the vivacious miss Selah Sue today releases her debut self-titled album, Selah Sue to the US. The American release includes three exclusive tracks: “On the Run,” “Break,” and “Fade Away,” which you can stream below. Watch “Break” live above, too. Collaborations with J.Cole, Meshell Ndegeocello, and Cee-Lo Green also add depth the Selah’s already bubbling blend of reggae, pop, soul, and funk.

On September 17, Selah sets off on a massive North American tour with dates alongside Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé, and Allen Stone.

Video: J*Davey – “Little Tramps”

It’s been a little minute since the release of the highly anticipated New Designer Drug by J*Davey, and now we’ve got yet another fun little video to keep things juicy and things of that nature.
From J*Davey themselves, the inspiration behind the video goes a little something like this:

“Feel the blood, sweat, & tears that are put into show business. Brook D’Leau steps up to get smacked around by everyone, including a baby, German shepard, professional female boxer Holly Lawson, some Chuck Taylors, & his own right hand. Miss Jack Davey plays the role of Doctor Faustus, reminding our dear protagonist of his fate.”

Think Mike Tyson on Broadway. Yep.

Video: Hiatus Kaiyote – “Nakamarra”

[kml_flashembed movie="" width="550" height="445" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

“Nakamarra” is undoubtedly one of our favorite tracks off of Australian band Hiatus Kaiyote’s debut project, Tawk Tomahawk. The song speaks about building bonds with our chosen family, the kind that remain strong even after long periods of physical separation. The group traveled 5000 kilometers back to the original location in Alice Springs where lead singer Nai Palm was initially inspired to write the song. Hiatus Kaiyote details their journey:

“We walked through red and yellow deserts, swam in freezing waterholes, slept in abandoned mine shafts, wrote off our hire van after hitting a kangaroo, camped under thousands of stars, salvaged eagle feathers, saw emus, dingos, ate camel burgers, made music and bonded all while making our very first film clip.”

Here’s to love. Enjoy the colors.
