Feist yesterday released her video for the gloomy yet still inspiring “Graveyard” tune of hers. In favorite grayish high contrast black and white fashion, a little dot of Feist and a couple accompanists jam out in a barren weedy field. Some interesting voyeur zoom action going on here, too. Pixels welcome. Can’t knock a new vantage point for video making – we are intrigued.

New Release: Ayah – ‘Ayahludes: 2007′

Man. Ayah frickin’ rules. We had her “Live The Life” on repeat for several days straight and now listening to it again, we think it’s time for another run. And now Ayah’s thrown in a few more similarly styled 90s throwback R&B gems to create her new Ayahludes: 2007 EP. Swoon city. “Something About You” is definitely a new favorite.

What we would give for a whole album of this stuff. For now we’re just gonna virtually hold this EP really tight and scream like schoolgirls. Inside. Screaming inside.

Video: Andy Allo – “People Pleaser” (Teaser)

[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/LT7gjZosVxI" width="550" height="445" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

Having played guitar and acted as backup-singer in Prince’s band, Andy Allo is definitely already on the right track. Earlier this year, Prince charged up his efforts to introduce Andy to the world as a solo artist as she sets up to release her sophomore album, Superconductor. You may also already recognize Andy from the track she did with Blu called “Dreamland.”. While her voice in “Dreamland” is smoother and sweeter, Andy’s new solo style serves up a raspy down home soul from the gut.

Above, find a teaser from her upcoming super funky video for “People Pleaser” above. And below, catch Andy doing a live cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” Absolutely adorable she is.

Learn more about the rising star in this great interview by our friends at The Revivalist.
