As we all know, the history of sampling in hip hop can go pretty deep. Here is a film about the people you "always heard but never heard of." In 1973, a politician, a gangster, a visionary, a football legend, and a murderer's path's intersected to birth the most unlikely source of music.

The documentary features interviews from Questlove, Afrika Bambaataa, and others.
