NYC & DC: Hiatus Kaiyote Live – November 5 & 8

GS_Hiatus Kaiyote_NYDC

Hot off their mystifying SummerStage performance a couple months back, we are proud to yet again present Melbourne’s internationally acclaimed Hiatus Kaiyote for two very special shows!

The two nights will take place on November 5 in NYC and November 8 in DC. In NYC, we’ll have opening sets by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Emily King as well as the much loved DJ Rich Medina. In DC, the awesome DJ Thomas Blondet will be opening and setting the night off!

For those somehow still sleeping, the band fuses jazz, hip-hop, electronic, opera, rock and soul to concoct a truly disarming brand of future-soul like you’ve never heard. Hiatus Kaiyote released their debut album Tawk Tomahawk on July 30 via Sony Masterworks, and have received praise from highly-respected music industry staples like Questlove, Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu, Gilles Peterson, Stereogum, and KCRW. Legions of loyal fans and stans already abound – and with good reason!

This week, we have another special edition of #Offline with “one party in two rooms!” As always, Q-Tip will be holding it down in the main room, spinning only the best, and keeping you on your toes. We also have some great special guests joining us that you won’t want to miss!

In the Panther Room, we have the pleasure of welcoming Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister), Nickodemus (Turntables on the Hudson) and Wiseacre (theLIFT – LA, the303 – NYC). Rocking the main room and opening for Q-Tip will be the lovely Natasha Diggs of the Mobile Mondays crew.

Last week’s #Offline was one for the history books! We were thrilled to have the opportunity to pay homage to legendary musician, producer, guitarist, and songwriter Nile Rodgers as our guest of honor. It was truly unforgettable. To boot, we had the great DJ Spinna as our guest DJ and were graced with visits from Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire, Afrika Baby Bam, and Michael K Williams.

Join us tomorrow at Output and help us continue a tradition in the making!
