Electrolightz are a pop-electro-hip-hop group comprised of singer Rami Dearest, rapper Namebrand, producer erOc, and drummer Barry Romance. The LA based outfit recently formed when the guys instantly hit it off during a studio session. With regards to the forming of the group, erOk explains, "it happened overnight." The group quickly wrote and produced a full-length album (TBR) and have recently released their first mixtape Electrolightz presents Electronightz, consisting of Electrolightz original songs and remixes including Interscope endorsed remixes of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance," "Telephone," and La Roux's "Bulletproof."
The band recently opened up for LMFAO on the Party Rock tour, in addition to other high profile shows and festivals in and around the LA area. Electrolightz will be heading to SXSW and Winter Music Confrence this coming March, and are expected to release their debut EP in April.
All four members of Electrolightz have had a great deal of independent success. Rami Dearst, son of renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, fronted the band Something for Rockets, who were featured on MTV's You Hear It First, and gained consistent radio play on college radio and LA stations such as Indie 103.1 and KCRW. SFR's second album was produced by Blink 182 front man Mark Hoppus. Rapper Namebrand gained his rapping chops as the protégé of notorious hip hop artist Rass Kass which enabled Namebrand to travel the world on tour along with Rass Kass and legendary rapper Rakim. He has been described as 'putting out high-energy music with innovative lyrics and delivery.' ErOc has has had commercial success with his production team called Da Riffs. He and partner Zed Kelly have produced a number of video game scores for EA Sports in addition to producing tracks for well-known rappers such as 50 Cent, Young Buck, Pitbull, Chamillionaire, and Method Man.
