London-born songstress Eliza Doolittle, only 22 years old, is already thrilling fans on both sides of the Atlantic with her catchy pop sound. Although Doolittle is a diehard fan of classic pop, and cites the Beach Boys, The Kinks, and Stevie Wonder as influences, she doesn't see herself fitting in to a cut-and-dried pop mold. "I'd like to be a pop musician in the proper old school vein of pop when there weren't any different genres like there are now; it was all just pop music," she says.

Her music bears hallmarks of folk, ska, vintage R&B/soul, and even Big Band sounds, conjuring up a feel-good vibe with plenty of pop smarts.
