Ice Cube

Born O'Shea Jackson, Ice Cube has become one of the most successful entertainers of all time. Using his astute business sense and charisma, Cube made the transition from gangsta rapper to record producer, actor, screenwriter, film producer, director, entrepreneur...the list goes on. The proficient lyricist and storyteller started off his career in the 80s when he formed the group CIA with Sir Jinx and performed at parties hosted by Dr. Dre. In 1988 he linked up with the rest of the NWA crew and was writing for Eazy-E and Dre. Cube spilt from the group in 1989 after feeling that he was owed more money for writing half of the songs on Straight Outta Compton and Eazy-E's Eazy Duz It. Following his departure he went on to have an extremely successful solo career, releasing 10 solo albums and producing, directing and acting in several high profile successful movies. Ice Cube remains a rap legend to this day.
