Giant Step is pleased to present a new take on the classic Jingo. Inspired by Olatunji, Santana and Candido, the track is a meeting of some of New York's music heavyweights. It features the production and drum programming skills of producer legend Ron Trent, chants of Herbin "Tamango" Van Cayseele a world reknowned tap dancer and artist, keyboards from Itaal "Big Muff" Shur whose writing credits include Maxwell's "Ascension" and Santana's "Smooth", Jonathan Maron of Groove Collective on bass, master percussionist Daniel Moreno, Groove Collective's Fabio Morgera on trumpet and "Cookin with Gas" Ray Grappone on trap drum. All coming together at Kalawang (Creole for salad). The session took place at Axis Studios in NY in the Spring of 1999. Check out the results and enjoy...
