Been a minute since we’ve written about our boy James Blake. Last time was news that he’d released his Enough Thunder EP. Since then, he’s released a video for his Joni Mitchell cover of “A Case of You” off the aformentioned EP and a new 3-track EP called Love What Happened Here, which you can grab at the end of this post.

Accompanied by Blake’s beautiful sing-song, the video starts off warm and cozy, placing you inside the characters’ home as would a good book or film. And even as the story descends into cool and withdrawn, the video maintains a peculiar power of familiarity and intimacy. Very nicely done.

Video: Siaira Shawn – “Prototype”

Our girl Siaira Shawn has the sweetest voice. Here, she is performing the popular cover for Andre 3000′s “Prototype,” and yet still bringing something you’ve never quite heard before. The lady is a gem – her voice is like a blend of 90′s classic R&B mixed with underground neo-soul in its heyday.

Don’t forget to check out her “Icarus” single that dropped earlier this month.

Video: Om’Mas Keith – “Mistérios”

[kml_flashembed movie="" width="550" height="445" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="fs=1" /]

One of our favorite space tune maestros, Om’Mas Keith, shares his experience preparing for the Red Hot + Rio 2 compilation. He talks Portuguese, his father, and coração (heart). And be sure you don’t miss Om’Mas performing “Mistérios” with Mia Doi Todd and flexing his shiny new Portuguese skills. It’s an awesome tune and Om’Mas’ voice on this track just tickles us.
