TRON: Legacy Motion Comic

Given the cult following of the original 1982 film Tron, Disney naturally wanted to create the same enthusiasm in a new generation of sci-fi nerds. To accomplish this, they teamed up with Double Barrel Motion Studios to create a “motion comic” with interactive Tron-style visuals. The motion comic will be an interpretation of the film, skewed to appeal to children under 8 years old, available on the iTunes app store.

Grillade – “Just A Sad Christmas”

Ever since Giant Step blogger Rehes introduced us to Grillade in their SXSW adventures, we’ve seen the group move on up in the blogosphere, their video “Dream Of You (Emotionally Yours)” just featured as video of the day on AOL.com, premiered on Okayplayer. Unearthed, adored and reinvented by Grillade, “Just A Sad Christmas” is the groupʼs first official release and is available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital retailers now.

Neither holly nor jolly, the song is a cover, originally performed by Soul Duo and recorded for their second ever 7” single in 1969. Grillade vocalist Ragen Fykes: “‘Sad Christmas’ embodies the soul of Christmas now. It has meat, it has bite. It reflects on the vast majority that are shadowed by Jingle Bells. Not everybody is standing under the mistletoe this year, not everyone is having a Holly Jolly Christmas. Its The christmas song you would never hear, but should hear. It offers a musical release from Grillade, for those in need. Tis the season.”
