Four Tet DJ Mix and Remixes by Joy Orbison and Roska

2490Four Tet aka Kieran Hebden is set to release his fifth studio album, There Is Love In You, his first full-length in almost five years. It features the epic nine minute journey “Love Cry,” a loopy track that evolves and unravels around a simple vocal sample and thumping drumbeat. Now remixes have emerged from the acclaimed talent coming from South East London: Joy Orbison rolls out a floating electronic piece with skippy percussion, while Roska‘s remix is all at once dark, brooding, fierce and funky.

Four Tet will be touring in support of his much-anticipated new album, out January 26th on 2xLP, CD and digital.

Norah Jones Remixes

chasingpirates

Having just released her latest full-length, The Fall, Grammy Award-winner Norah Jones has unveiled a set of brilliant remixes from a few of her favorite artists and collaborators. In this digital DJ promo, femme fatale Santigold joins forces with Snotty for an intoxicating remix of the bluesy “Chasing Pirates,” while Droogs (a remix collective featuring Beck) takes the track to a druggy downtempo wonderland. A masterful finishing touch on this EP comes courtesy of Beastie Boys’ Adrock and Mike D, with an intergalactic Big Apple remix of “That’s What I Said.” These remixes will be released digitally and on vinyl on January 12, 2010.
