Originating in Los Angeles, Kiss-n-Grind events have become well known for their atypical locations, beautiful art installations and raucous dance-floor environments. Kiss-n-Grind has hosted a number of notable DJ and music talents including DJ Jazzy Jeff, Raphael Saadiq, Questlove, The Brand New Heavies, Kid Capri, Idris Elba, Eric Roberson, Just Blaze, Foreign Exchange, Biz Markie and many others.

Headlining the tour will be Kiss-n-Grind’s founder and curator, GRAMMY nominated recording artist and DJ, Vikter Duplaix along with a “surprise” DJ line-up in each market. We are looking forward to giving the rest of the country the same high production quality and raucous dance-floor environments that Los Angeles has come to know and love!

Video: Jack Davey – “Like That”

With today’s release of L0-F! SIDE B, Jack Davey also releases a psychedelic video for “Like That” complete with ransom-esque magazine cutouts. Foot tapping, head spinning lo-fi rock addiction right here. If you remember the grungy production of SIDE A, you’ll appreciate the converse to the story with the “full production & instrumentation” thanks to Joey Strat of The Knux.

You can preview SIDE B on the Audible Treats Soundcloud.

New Release: K’Naan – ‘Country, God or the Girl’

K’Naan yesterday released his new album, Country, God or the Girl, boasting a diverse sound fusing pop, soul, and reggae with K’Naan’s famously catchy lyricism. Topic matter spans the gamut from politics and society, relationships and loneliness, and mental attitude.

To go with the release, Rolling Stone featured K’Naan in a video where he offers a track by track breakdown behind each song – we’d surely like to get inside the man’s head! Watch above. A new track called “Gold in Timbuktu” is also now available for streaming. Starting out like a lullaby, the song builds into a telling personal reflection. Listen below.
