Launched in March 2009, Kutiman‘s audio-visual project ThruYou: Kutiman Mixes YouTube, got a huge response worldwide. He uses videos like samples to create new works of art, and his efforts were noticed by the members of Multi-platinum selling artist Maroon 5. The incomparable Cee-Lo Green of Goodie Mob and Gnarles Barkley fame is another Giant Step favorite. Anything he touches is gold(schlager), including covers, a rare and valuable trait in an artist. So check out this cover of the Band Of Horses‘ song “No One’s Gonna Love You,” and get lost in the love story. Fair warning: the video is slightly NSFW – a bit of tasteful nudity.

Cee-Lo’s next full release is slated for the fall, with the early title: Cee Lo Green is The Lady Killer. You can get a free download of the single MP3, “Georgia” on his site.

We’ve had an eye out for Chiddy Bang since we heard a bit of their upcoming album, The Opposite of Adults, and their fun video of the title track. This video “Sooner or Later” has a much heavier tone, shot entirely from the first person view of Chiddy, live in Nigeria. The message of this video calls for the Nigerian government to take responsibility for the poverty levels and the accompanying problems in the country … sooner or later.

Check out Chiddy Bang’s recent interview with The Couch Sessions here.
