Quadron’s Unofficial Video: “Jeans”

Thanks to our friend Maiya at Blind I for the Kids for turning us onto this new unofficial Quadron video (but with the appearance of vocalist Coco, it’s official enough). We can’t get enough Quadron even after their show in Brooklyn last night. But really, what does being ‘into your old jeans’ mean? Anyone?

The Levi’s Pioneer Sessions keeps it moving with an amazing new cover, which may have been the catalyst a full blown Roots – John Legend soul cover album. Immediately after the new Roots release this Tuesday, they’ve announced plans for a new one. Pitchfork details their new project here; including classic covers like this one, it’s obvious that these recordings came natural. “Drop” by The Pharcyde is arguably one of the greatest hip-hop videos ever made, not to mention all the Dilla-beat love. So when Skillz makes this confession about sleeping on Dilla and his tracks for “Runnin,” “Drop,” and “Something That Means Something” in his own ‘Confessional’ video series, we are truly getting a piece of hip-hop history.

Single + Video Released by Belleruche: “Clockwatching”

This is the first single to be released from Belleruche‘s third studio album, 270 Stories, set to hit the shelves on October 11th, 2010 on Tru Thoughts Records. The London based group’s lead singer, Kathrin deBoer, has a sound that epitomizes the word soulful. Look out for Belleruche’s album in the fall.
