Video: The Bamboos – “I Got Burned”

    May 3rd, 2012

The Bamboos’ buildup to their upcoming album, Medicine Man (out June 5), is rather salivation worthy. Recently, you probably heard the buoyant new track with Aloe Blacc, “Where Does The Time Go?” Turns out the tune is actually part of a double A side single with today’s song, “I Got Burned,” being the complement!

Featuring the smoky vocals of Australian rockstar Tim Rogers, “I Got Burned” is an understated throwback soul jam accompanied with dull-toned visuals seemingly in a perpetual dusk.

Video: Mo Kolours – “Banana Wine”

    April 27th, 2012

“Banana Wine” might need to become our choice drink for this summer. We’ve had the song as a staple on our playlist ever since we mentioned it back in March and it’s still making us feel fine. Can we talk about that guitar? Ungh! Now there’s a mystical video of glowing black and white images to go with this endlessly calming tune. Nothing’s messing with Mo Kolours right now.

    Video: Kwes. – “Bashful”

    April 26th, 2012

London electro-pop artist Kwes. releases the video for “Bashful” as he prepares to release his upcoming Meantime EP. Kind of reminds us of the UK vocalist Sampha, who you might know via his affiliations of SBTRKT. Filmed in an elevator, the video celebrates the joys of “understated awkwardness” – an important part of life indeed.

Look out for the Meantime EP to drop on April 30.

But what’s cooler is now you have a video companion to your “Wild Rumpus” shenanigans – aww, shoot! Time for blast off to starry far off lands and a little cruise with a possessed psychedelic bird eye. Nature is totally rad.
