Rambunctious Bay Area soul and funk band The Park join indie-country/roots artist Lee Bob Watson together form Happy Mayfield. Along with the ever dynamic Darondo, this bunch have recently released Silvercloud Time Machine, a project that honors two generations of Bay Area funk.

The first single, "Jesse James" is accompanied by a vintage style video with a thrilling chase scene straight out of the 70s. Turns out the video happens to only be the first part of a longer narrative of "crime, mystery, and romance."

Nicholas Ryan Gant has been one of our favorite modern soul vocalists for a minute now - there is just something about the vibration of his voice that is unlike anyone else. So it's no surprise when we say that we are completely and utterly beside ourselves now that he's released his first solo album! Promises dropped today and is fourteen tracks of yummy mellow soul snacks.

"Over Us/Convo" definitely stands out as our favorite track and the Fresh Daily feature on the title track is rather tickling as well.

Signed to Jermaine Dupri and Pharrell's new label, Los Angeles singer girl Leah Labelle is on the rise and steaming it up in her playful new video for "Sexify." The fun R&B number is colored by about twelve different telephones to talk to her girlfriend on and a dance party in her colossal walk-in closet.
