Giant Step Presents Q-Tip's #Offline at Output 9/18
Wednesday, September 18
Output, New York NY
This Wednesday, #Offline continues at Output. Since the start of the party in July it has continued to grow and flourish. Last week was another memorable night with guests such as Dave Chappelle and Estelle seen dancing and partying. This week as always Q-Tip will be holding it down and as usual you can expect the unexpected from him. Recently his sets have been heavy on the old skool boogie and funk side, the opener is Natasha Diggs from the Mobile Mondays crew. Also while the weather is still good we have the roof open too.

"The concept of Offline is a party that brings all elements of New York club culture together with great music, diverse people and no bottle service,” states Q-Tip. “I started the party last year as a monthly at Irving Plaza with great success, but now I'm happy to have found a home at Output in Williamsburg and can't wait to play my music on their house sound system." Maurice Bernstein, President/CEO of Giant Step adds, “Only Q-Tip could have persuaded me to do it. I'm really excited to see it grow and flourish.”
Legendary hip-hop innovator Q-Tip first rose to prominence in 1988 as one of the founders of the trailblazing hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, whose cerebral wordplay, socially conscious themes, and intricate fusion of jazz and other genre-bending influences changed hip-hop’s lexicon forever. After disbanding, Q-Tip launched his solo career with Amplified soon after. In 2008, he released his sophomore album, The Renaissance, which garnered widespread critical acclaim and the 2009 Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. The long-awaited album Kamaal the Abstract was released in 2009 and was further proof of Q-Tip’s jazz sensibilities and skilled musicianship. Q-Tip has recently become the newest addition to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music / Def Jam Recordings, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter of the Q-Tip story leading up to the release of his fourth solo album, The Last Zulu.
