Giant Step Presents #Offline w/ Q-Tip, Peter Kruder, Nickodemus & Wiseacre
Wednesday, October 2
Output, New York NY
Last week's edition of #offline was one for the history books, we had the pleasure of honoring the music and legacy of legendary musician, producer, guitarist, and songwriter Nile Rodgers. Hearing the music was monumental but having him there was unbelievable. Q-Tip & DJ Spinna went back to back playing their favorite tracks from Nile's extensive library of hits plus artists that have sampled his music. Philip Bailey of Earth Wind and Fire also dropped by as did Afrika Baby Bam, and Michael K Williams.
This week we have another special edition of #offline with "one party in two rooms," including Peter Kruder (Kruder & Dorfmeister, G Stoned) Nickodemus (Turntables on the Hudson, Wonderwheel, the303 - NYC) and Wiseacre (theLIFT - LA / the303 - NYC) in the Panther Room. As always Q-Tip will be holding it down in the main room at Output. Recently his sets have been heavy on the old skool boogie and funk side, the opener is Natasha Diggs from the Mobile Mondays crew. Also while the weather is still good we have the roof open too.
"The concept of Offline is a party that brings all elements of New York club culture together with great music, diverse people and no bottle service,” states Q-Tip. “I started the party last year as a monthly at Irving Plaza with great success, but now I'm happy to have found a home at Output in Williamsburg and can't wait to play my music on their house sound system." Maurice Bernstein, President/CEO of Giant Step adds, “Only Q-Tip could have persuaded me to do it. I'm really excited to see it grow and flourish.”
