Singer-songwriter Charles Hammond Jr. is near completion of his debut EP, Hello, My Name Is.... Get a super sneak peak of what's to come with the teaser video above. Looks like we are going to have another fresh voice to fancy very soon!
Hearing "Home" back in October served as a very promising preview of Scrimshire's newest album, The Hollow. The album is now out and is all quality from end to end. Ranging from ambient electronic sounds to soul to jazz, the project carries a serene, calming quality perfect for an unwind.
On January 24th K'Naan will be releasing his More Beautiful Than Silence. Look out for appearances from Nelly Furtado and Nas as well as production by Ryan Tedder and Chuck Harmony. Above, find the first single from the project, "Nothing to Lose" featuring Nas.

I spent the last year living my life, observing other lives, changing, evolving, then breaking down to the basics. I've been good and ugly, sometimes couldn't tell which was which. I felt the oldest pain in the world for the first time, and found myself lost. All the while, through all the changes the only thing which remained consistent was being in the studio. I sometimes took a matter seriously, and when I realized that the matter was me, I laughed hysterically. I wrote about 60 songs or so. Some of them will probably never be heard by ears other than mine, but some I am now ready to share.
Second Sky's breathtaking debut album is reinterpreted by a variety of producers, including veterans like Kenny Dope and Dr. Rubberfunk. Called The Art of Influence Remixed, the project aimed to carefully handpick each producer to create perfectly tailored remixes that are not only DJ friendly, but also provide a full bodied and diverse listening experience.

In September of last year, we hipped you to a free track called "Curtains" by a little known Philadelphia based producer named Hectic Zeniths, and now we've got a lot more. This January the talented beatmaker dropped on us his gem of a debut album, Hectic Zeniths. And, what the eff - it's free.
The multi-instrumentalist took close to three years to create this dense, layered project with original piano compositions, atmospheric samples, live instrumentation, synths, and stirring vocals.
And did we mention he's also currently a high school math teacher? Artistic nerds = swoon.
