    #RememberingAmy With ‘Lioness: Hidden Treasures’ + MP3

    December 6th, 2011

Today is a special day as we celebrate an artist with immeasurable talent and an endless well of potential who left us too soon. Amy Winehouse today releases Lioness: Hidden Treasures, a 12-track collection featuring unreleased material, alternate song versions from a woman who was known to bring something new with every delivery, and a couple of brand new compositions as well. The album was put together by longtime collaborators Salaam Remi and Mark Ronson along with input from Amy's family. In the video above, hear Salaam Remi himself share the story behind Lioness. Below, we're very excited to share a free download for a new track called "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" as well.

Part of the album sales will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation. Let's pay tribute to a great; please join us in #rememberingamy.

Video: Zakee – “Push The Power”

    December 5th, 2011

Fusionist vocalist and producer Zakee brings together electronic, afro beat, hip hop, punk, and world sounds to create an uplifting brand of music. His "Push the Power" video is a choppy sequence of breezy scenes and a house party laid over the equally lighthearted track. If you dig TV On The Radio, you'll want to hear this.

Unwind to the incredibly mellow stylings of of British producer Mecca:83 and don't worry about a thing. We are so relaxed right now that we can barely focus on writing this post. We surely hope you heard the Life Sketches EP we posted back in July so you have at least an idea of what we're talking about. If not, do go check that as well as his Life Sketches Vols 1 & 2 LP that dropped today! A masterly fusing of hip hop, jazz, soul, and electronic. Too lovely. Catch the video above to get some background on the project and the rising talent.
