Returning to perform in NYC after four years, Alice Russell did no less than take the house down at her recent Le Poisson Rouge show. The anticipation and excitement was palpable with an audience that was more than ready to receive the spiritual experience to come.

Taking the stage with a 4-piece band, Alice performed with characteristic passion and vigor. Her compelling blend of blues, soul, funk, gospel, and jazz was showcased impeccably with her performance of her latest album, To Dust . London artist Elliott Power releases the masterfully concocted "Sink/Swim." Moving through moods with the crescendos and decrescendos and a variety of vocal displays, the song does a wonderful job of keeping you curious for more.

Disclosure collaborator Sam Smith goes at it alone on "Latch." This slowed and stripped down acoustic version brings a whole new energy to the track.

A couple of our favorite up and coming acts have come together. The MØ "Pilgrim" track gets an atmospheric, dramatic remix by MS MR. The visuals to accompany the remix recently dropped and we're loving the fuzzy, static feel.
