New Release: Robert Glasper Experiment – ‘Black Radio 2′

Today, Robert Glasper Experiment drops the much awaited Black Radio 2! The project follows up the 2013 Grammy Award winning Black Radio, named Best R&B Album.

Making up the Experiment and the core of the sonic vision are Robert Glasper on keyboards, Derrick Hodge on bass, Mark Colenburg on drums, and Casey Benjamin on vocoder and saxophone. And as expected, the guest vocalists are impressive: Common, Patrick Stump, Brandy, Jill Scott, Dwele, Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Norah Jones, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Luke James, Emeli Sandé, Lalah Hathaway, and Malcolm-Jamal Warner. New Track: Booker T – “Sound The Alarm” ft. Mayer Hawthorne + Billboard Interview

 

Equipped with modern production techniques and his long famed musicianship, Booker T. Jones, referred simply as Booker T in this case, is set to release a new album on Stax entitled Sound The Alarm. The title track below receives accompaniment from Mayer Hawthorne who blends in perfectly with Booker’s rich production.

Due out June 25, the album invites an array of contemporary soul singers, including Luke James, Gary Clark Jr., Anthony Hamilton, Estelle, as well as the classic miss Sheila E.

Anthony Hamilton’s fourth studio album, Back to Love, dropped today and continues to demonstrate the singer’s undeniably rich voice and compelling music.
