Early last month we shared the smoky vocal stylings of Asa a la her “Dreamer Girl” track. Yesterday marked the U.S. release of her Beautiful Imperfection album, a work blending old school soul sounds with pop, a little reggae, and an unmistakable charm reflecting her French and Nigerian roots.

Above, you’ll find the playful video for “Why Can’t We,” which dropped earlier this year and totally makes us want to slide down a rainbow on a stick of chewing gum.
