New Release: Potatohead People feat. Frank Nitt – Kosmichemusik EP + Free MP3

    February 12th, 2013

Brooklyn wax-pushers Bastard Jazz Recordings have just released an expansive new EP (and limited-edition 7") from Canadian producers Potatohead People (aka Nick Wisdom & AstroLogical). Just in time for Valentine's Day,  the crew has offered up a free download of the EP's love-sick anthem "Back To My Shit" featuring heralded Detroit rapper Frank Nitt (Frank'n'Dank, J. Dilla). The production duo's signature deep, synth-heavy beat underscores Nitty's honest tale of breakup and redemption. Grab the MP3 below, and steam the entire Kosmichemusik EP (which also features the soulful vocals of Claire Mortifee and wordplay of Vancouver MC Moka Only) after the jump.

Featuring Ubiquity, Fania, Plug Research, ESL Music, Now-Again, Tru Thoughts and Bastard Jazz, the free compilation highlights some of today's brightest musicians, as well as a hint of what's to come in the near future from these esteemed record labels.
