In preparing for his upcoming album, People Hear What They See, Oddisee decided to give the internets something a little extra special this time. Herein is a remix of Marvin Gaye’s “Ain’t That Peculiar,” which also includes a new verse by our man himself.

The remix is part of an EP called Odd Renditions, which includes similar reworks of songs by K-Os, Bon Iver, and Metronomy – look out for that to drop for free next week. Loving this so much!

The video collage above shows of footage of Marvin performing the original track. And did we mention that it’s synchronized to this new version? Ohhhh, yeah!

The first weekend of Coachella 2012 has hit its conclusion and man, what a bar it has set. Above, catch a crazy video of a Tupac hologram performing “Hail Mary” and “Gangsta Party” on a mind-blowing onstage collaboration with Snoop Dogg. Live performance effects just got that much more serious, y’all.

Below is the video from an incredible performance by SBTRKT, which follows with our other favorite Coachella 2012 performances so far after the jump – Tune-Yards, Florence & The Machine, Frank Ocean, and The Black Keys.

Other performers this weekend included A$AP Rocky, AraabMUZIK, Azealia Banks, Beats Antique, Bon Iver, Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg, Feist, Fitz and the Tantrums, Flying Lotus, Gary Clark Jr., Justice, Kaskade, Kendrick Lamar, M83, Metronomy, Nero, Radiohead, Santigold, Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, The Shins, The Weekend, Thundercat, and Wallpaper, to name just a little handful.

Video: Lianne La Havas Interviewed by VV Brown

A beautifully shot conversation between Lianne La Havas and VV Brown. Lianne discusses how she first got into music when she was seven years old, what she listened to while growing up, what “luxurious, velvety, gravely” voices (what a description) inspire her to sing, and meeting Bon Iver, amongst a few othen fun tidbits. Who can be mad at two pretty talented ladies chatting about music, fashion, and inspiration, really?
