Our friends over at National Geographic Music are offering up an exclusive download of Boom Pam‘s song “Surfing Tuba.” The track is off the album Alakazam (album artwork above), which has only been released in Israel as of now. The Tel Aviv-based surf rock trio recently premiered the video for “Light Up” and the single is available for download on iTunes.

Boom Pam – Making of “Light Up” Video

Our friends over at The Creators Project have posted an exclusive look into the making of the “Light Up” video by, Tel Aviv based Boom Pam. Boom Pam offers up a fresh mixture of Mediterranean, rock and surf music in a format of a unique power trio consisting of electric guitar, tuba and drums. They have been touring extensively around the globe.

The video was directed by YouTube sensation Kutiman and took six months to create. Kutiman’s groundbreaking success, Thru-You project, in 2009 was an online music video project mixed from samples of unrelated amateur YouTube music videos. Thru-You was chosen by Time Magazine as one of the 50 Best Inventions of 2009.

Tel Aviv based Boom Pam premiered the video for “Light Up” on Mashable yesterday, and now it’s available to the masses. YouTube sensation Kutiman directed the clip utilizing video projections manipulated with various materials.
