Video: Lana Del Rey – “Ride”

In her most recent video for “Ride,” now brunette epic emo hipster starlet Lana Del Rey narrates a journey of finding her path in this 10-minute short film of a music video. The song hits at 3:26 and continues on with the story of a young gal flailing around with her motorcycle crew boos.

The visuals in the video are absolutely stunning and inspiring – definitely transport you into another world, as Lana’s videos so often happen to do. She brings us the climax of her video urging viewers to “live fast, die young, and be wild.” Taking us back to the heart palpitations we experienced watching “Born To Die.”

Lana Del Rey Releases ‘Born To Die’

It wasn’t too long ago that we were all put into a spell with Lana Del Rey’s title track video. With Born To Die out today, there’s now a bunch more where that came from.

The self-proclaimed ‘gangsta Nancy Sinatra’ defines her genre as ‘Hollywood pop/sadcore.’ No doubt that Lana makes us feel a little emo with a side of gully – preview a few of the tracks below and try to stop that g-meter from rising.

Fever-inducing Lana Del Rey doesn’t need to do much to get one hot and bothered as evidenced by her “Born To Die” non-video that dropped last week. What could possibly be better than the non-video, though?! Duh – the video video.

There is certainly no skimping on the grandeur with the main opening setting in a magnificent church. A poised Lana sits on her “throne” in-betwixt two tiger homies in a scene that is quickly cut by a cut-off shorts and tennis shoe wearing Lana in the middle of nowhere with her man. And as the bleary love story unfolds, we find ourselves more and more emo. Damn, boo.

Very well done.

Born To Die drops January 30th.

New Track: Lana Del Rey – “Born To Die”

From commentary on “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans” to being “Born To Die,” the lulling Lana Del Rey seems to excel at making spellbinding music all while keeping a girl next door sort of charm.

Above, you’ll find a mostly static video for “Born To Die” with a bare Lana hugged up against a tatted boo. Word is that the official video is around the corner. But really, this video is almost enough – we can’t stop wondering how in the world those two are able stand so still.

Look out for Lana’s album, Born To Die, to drop January 30th.
