Video: Children of the Night – “Kids From Queens”

Lansky Jones, Remy Banks, and Nasty Nigel of hip hop trio Children of the Night yesterday released their new video for their magnetic “Kids From Queens” track.

With a sound seeming to pay homage to old school hip hop sounds, these young lads have already received approval from industry veterans like Ski Beatz and Large Professor. The black and white video depicts almost a home video or documentary style video of Queens living – kind of all has a Nas vibe to it in parts. This one’s a no brainer, y’all.

New Release: Children of the Night – ‘Queens…Revisited’

Queens hip hop trio Children of the Night this week unveiled their Queens…Revisited mixtape and it’s quite tasty if we do say so ourselves. Consisting of Versa, Lansky, and Remy Banks, the group creates music that is dense and textured all while still fresh and full of energy. The sound will easily swallow the unassuming listener – melodic flows dance atop a pulsing beat on songs like “Woman,” which samples Method Man on “All I Need” with Mary J. Blige, while the urgent, anxious keys on “Kids From Queens” are leveled by triumphant horns.

Super solid. Stream the album below and download for free! Above, you can peep the video for the hazy distortion on “Ilyas.”
