Ninety Miles NYC Album Release feat. Stefon Harris, David Sanchez, & Christian Scott @ S.O.B.’s – Win Tickets + MP3

It’s always refreshing to see artists experiment and take an “out of the box” approach to their craft. Such is the case with the Cuban American Jazz phenomenon Ninety Miles featuring Stefon Harris (Vibes), David Sánchez (Saxophone), and Christian Scott (Trumpet). Recorded entirely in Havana, Cuba, with the help of some highly talented Cuban players Rember Duharte and Harold Lopez-Nussa, Ninety Miles is an experiment that examines the fascinating chemical reaction that takes place when musicians from different cultures come together and converse in a common language that transcends mere words.

Out June 21st, the album also includes a bonus DVD with two live performances and a sneak peek (see above video) of the forthcoming documentary that chronicles the recording process of the album, and features guest appearances by Cuban musicians. Also on June 21st will be the album release show at @ S.O.B.’s — try your luck at winning tickets while you’re at it.
