New Tracks: The Child of Lov – “One Day” ft. Damon Albarn & “Owl” ft. DOOM

The Child of Lov is one intriguing fella with an increasingly anticipated debut album. This last week he dropped two tracks to preview the upcoming effort. Love the dark yet playful sing-song of “One Day” featuring Damon Albarn as well as the kicked up sinister feel combined with the already menacing DOOM on “Owl.” Watch out!

Video: The Child of Lov – “Give Me”

So funky. The Child of Lov earlier this month released his cheeky video for “Give Me,” a tune blending elements of soul, blues, and funk, and some good ol’ raw charm.
According to Potholes In My Blog, the upcoming album is set to include Damon Albarn, DOOM, and Thundercat, amongst others. If this is any indication of what’s to come, we certainly can not wait.

New Release: Bobby Womack – ‘The Bravest Man In The Universe’

Bobby Womack today releases his first album in a good little minute, The Bravest Man In The Universe. One may choose to call the Damon Albarn and Richard Russell produced album “an electronic secular gospel album,” but we just call it awesome.

Listeners can look forward to songwriting collaborations with Harold Payne and vocal appearances by Lana Del Rey and Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara. Some true next level business here.

Below, check out the retro outerspace inspired video for “Whatever Happened To The Times,” which dropped today!

Also, please note that our annual SummerStage concert in NYC with Bobby has been postponed due to a recent and successful surgery. Stay tuned for more details on the new date.
