Loyal fans flocked from far and wide to witness last night’s spectacular show in San Francisco with K-pop sensation Taeyang. The Giant Step produced Music Experiment 2.0 show in partnership with MTV Iggy and Intel brought out music lovers from as far as Seoul, Mexico City, Miami, and Philadelphia, some of whom started lining up as early as 6AM.

Guests came dressed in all white on par with the night’s theme, making for a luminous and picturesque evening. An awe-inspiring Taeyang played with his force of a band and elevated a packed room for a solid hour, then going on to graciously offer multiple encores. An immeasurably pleased crowd cheered, cried, gleefully sang word-for-word, and danced themselves away.

To thank Taeyang for his contribution in sharing Asian culture with the Bay Area, Mayor Evan Low of Campbell, California presented the star with a well-deserved certificate of recognition on behalf of Mayor Edwin Lee of San Francisco.

Following our massively successful Music Experiment 2.0 shows with Arcade Fire in LA, Empire of the Sun in NYC, and Disclosure in Boston, our show with Taeyang was the perfect cap to an unforgettable run. Hats off to the whole Music Experiment 2.0 crew!

Like all ME 2.0 shows, attendees are encouraged to join in on the night’s theme. For Boston, the theme is White Noise, which plays off the title of Disclosure’s hot single. So if you go, be sure to arrive dressed in all black with the opportunity to accent your look with white, glowing paint.

Not in Boston? That’s ok. The show will be broadcast live on the ME 2.0 website or via the Music Experiment Windows 8 App. The app will allow homes users to direct the show themselves from multiple camera angles – zoom in for a close up on their favorite band member, cut back for a wide shot, and save their own edit to share with their friends. The entire experience is in full HD video and can be wirelessly sent to the users TV using Intel’s new WiDi technology while being controlled from their lap. Very cool. The series already hit New York City with a cosmic masquerade featuring Empire of the Sun. Watch the show here. Stay tuned for info on additional events in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Nashville.

English electronic music duo Disclosure, made up of brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, join The Music Experiment 2.0 as part of their fall tour in the United States to promote their just-released debut album on Cherrytree/Interscope, Settle. As one of the most successful British dance acts in a generation, Disclosure has experienced a meteoric rise to the top of the charts in the U.K. and Australia and is making waves across the U.S music scene.
