Turntables on the Hudson and Giant Step are teaming up again, to ring in the spirit of Spring. This Friday, April 30th at Littlefield, we present a night of dancing reminiscent of all the good times by the waterfront, but this time on the Gowanus. DJs Nickodemus and Erik The Red will be spinning the hottest music from around the globe with Nappy G and Amon on percussion bringing the dancing to a feverish frenzy. Head to Ticketfly and be sure to pick up a copy of the Turntables On The Hudson – 10 Year Anniversary double CD or Nickodemus’s Sun People Remixed album with your advance ticket.
The Paris based international trio known as Gotan Project is gearing up to release their third album next week, entitled Tango 3.0. This infectious mix of tango, breakbeats and minimalist electronica that has been the trademark of their last two albums is further realized and celebrated in this new release sweeping you into a sexy tangle of melody and rhythm. Come celebrate this new project and the arrival of spring at the exclusive listening party at the Thompson LES Pool, on Wednesday, April 21 at 7pm. Entrance is free with RSVP.
During these times of family gatherings and feasting, Giant Step along with Turntables on the Hudson want to wish you a happy holiday and ask you to join us in giving thanks for all that makes our lives beautiful!
On Friday Nov 27 at the Sullivan Room, DJ Nickodemus and Nappy G will be rocking the decks in a benefit event for NextAid, so come and dance that turkey induced lethargy off.
