Been awhile since we posted on Dag Savage, a duo consisting of Johaz and Exile. On this newest track called “When It Rains,” Aloe Blacc lays some super catchy vocals for an overall brilliant production. Too smooth.
Johaz and Exile have teamed up to create a new duo called Dag Savage. Above is the video for their dreamy single “Cali Dreamin’” featuring Fashawn, Co$$, and Tiombe Lockhart. Loving smooth flow and there’s nothing like a Tiombe hook, man – other worldly. And it’s all further accented by the awesome nostalgic vibes to this video with the LA street vignettes, old photos, and vibrating, flickering flashes of shadows and glows.

Blu & Exile this week released the follow up to their much loved Below The Heavens. Give Me My Flowers While I Can Still Smell Them shows the duo in their same breezy and playful hip hop element alongside a slew of tasty collaborators.
Below, we’e got a little sampling off the album with “The Great Escape” featuring Homeboy Sandman and ADAD. Hit download and wave ‘em high.
One thing you can’t deny is that Exile is an incredibly entertaining dude, aside from making wholly awesome tunes. Watch a borderline possessed Exile while he cruises in a shadowy neon car with his various alter egos in the video for “Knight Rider.” You might wanna do a few breathing exercises before.
Uh, what? It was only a month or two we were talking to some pals who were saying we were tough out of luck if we were to expect this duo to ever release a project together again. Not to take all the credit or whatever, but we think we had something to do with this.
Los Angeles contingent Blu & Exile are back, y’all. Curse word. Exile continues to habitually pour out his dreamy chopped beats while Blu makes his easy buttery rhymes wrap around you like a cinnamon roll. What?
Give Me My Flowers While I Can Smell Them. Just listen and get this ish now, please.
