55th Annual Grammy Nominations

Some awesome artists getting recognized with the 55th Grammy nominations this year. Super glad to see our boy Frank Ocean, Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys, M.I.A., Florence & The Machine, The Roots, Bjork, and Miguel, amongst many others making the list.

And once again, we are thrilled to see so many great projects we worked making the nominee list as well. A big congrats to Robert Glasper, Esperanza Spalding, and Anthony Hamilton for snagging more than one nomination, too! The 55th Grammys will air on February 10. Video: The Bamboos – “Lost” (Frank Ocean Cover)

Yeah. Couldn’t stop listening or watching. The Bamboos are out of the world with this performance and Kylie Auldist has some voodoo powers with that voice, for real. Certain covers bring a whole new life to a track and just thrust you into a world of wonder. We found ourselves ruminating on the possibilities of all the beautiful varied versions that can be birthed from great songwriting. Frank Ocean, how we love thee.

Awesome version of “Lost.” And it is pretty fantastic to hear our gal sing about titties – we agree.

Videos: Frank Ocean – “Pyramids” + Live on SNL

Yes! Another Frank Ocean video has just hit – we’ve been waiting for this, too. One of our favorite jams off of Channel Orange, “Pyramids,” now has a characteristically somber and moody NSFW visual to go with it. Our boy Frank puts on a nice performance here – great energy and emotion in this story.

Below, also catch the live version of “Pyramids” as performed on SNL this weekend!

Bouncing around the country on a sold out tour, Frank Ocean is melting hearts all up and down. One of his most recent stints was at Lollapalooza. Above, watch his intro to and performance of “Bad Religion.” This song never ceases to give us chills. Eesh.

New Release: Iman Omari & Moruf – ‘The Sounds of Euphoria’

Yeahhh boyee! This new release by Iman Omari and Moruf is the business. The Sounds of Euphoria presents nine tracks of soultronic chronic and hypnotic hip hop. If you dig the off-center, drunken dream vibes of Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, or Stacy Barthe mixed with a little nostalgic hip hop, you’re going to like this. Enjoy the stream below along with a free download.
