UK singer-songwriter Tanya Lacey is hurting ‘em with her versatility; from the dubby soul tune “Born To Fly” to the radio ready R&B of “Letter To My Ex,” and now some rap flexing on the danceable “T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)” – Tanya is not playing any games.
As Tanya mentions in the video above, what’s special about “T.H.E.” is that she initially co-wrote it with Dallas Austin who then played it for the famed Will.I.Am. Sir Will liked it so much, that he threw Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger on the track and made it the lead single from his upcoming album, #willpower.
Tanya speaks on the track:
“This song is about me expressing some of the frustrations and ongoing conflicts you tend to experience as an artist in the industry. It’s about having a vision and overcoming obstacles through willpower and persistence.” She continues, “I’m an all or nothing kind of person so ‘go hard or go home’ pretty much sums up my attitude to my career and life in general.”
