RIP John Barry

Composer / Musician John Barry passed away yesterday in New York at the age of 77. He was known for the famous James Bond theme. In fact, whether composer, arranger or conductor, his name appeared in the music credits of most of the 007 films. He supervised the music of many other great films including Midnight Cowboy (1969) and the UK TV series The Persuaders (1971). He continued working in film until his death; IMDB shows that he was currently working on a TV documentary called “Where Bond Began.”
