The ultra groovy NYC weekly Mobile Mondays! will be celebrating its one year anniversary on September 24. Founded by Operator Emz, MM has quickly become New York City's premiere 45’s vinyl night for music lovers. Hear an array of sounds, varying from funk & soul, disco, rock & roll, reggae, new wave, salsa - so long as its "classic & danceable," it goes!

Past guest DJs include Kenny Dope, DJ Spinna, DJ Scratch, Producer Just Blaze, Boogie Blind, BreakBeat Lou, Spinderella, Mr Len, Preservation, Rockin Rob, Cut Chemist, Stretch Armstrong, G-Bo the Pro, DJ Misbehaviour, and DJ Nicole Leone.

Finally! Proud to announce our May Next Step winner to be the charming miss Jaidene Veda!

After co-writing and self-produceding three independent albums and two Billboard club singles, this young Canadian lady has already garnered recognition in the underground house community and the international top 40 club scene. Interestingly, Veda got her start in 2000 as an event producer and party promoter, where her audience was already somewhat developed prior to the showcasing of her craft as a singer.

Over the hers, she has worked with an impressive who's who, including Joe Claussell, Josh Milan, Glenn Underground, Jimpster, the Ananda Project, and Reelsoul.

This past fall saw the released of Jaidene's debut full length album, Pisces Pendulum, which is an enchanting blend of loungy, jazzy, and soulful deep house sounds, and has been lauded by the likes of DJ Spinna, Danny Krivit, and Kenny Dope.

The famed Red Bull Music Academy will be hosting three back to back events with some New York musical legends to celebrate the application phase for this year's program. For those unfamiliar, RBMA is an international music workshop held in a different city each year. In 2011, musicians were brought to Madrid, this year the Academy will be held in New York City.

In 1999, BBE released Henry Street Music: The Story So Far - 1993 To 1999, a slice of superior club classics featuring the key music makers of the day. Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak, 95 North, Robbie Rivera, Davidson Ospina, Ralphi Rosario, Mike Delgado, King Britt and a handful of others under various alter egos and nom de plumes.

Now the story of Henry Street Music as a label continues with Henry Street Grooves - Classic Deep, Funky and Jazzy House from New York, to be released on March 21st, 2011. Even though many people will be familiar with nearly all the artists and many of the releases put out on the label, most of these tracks will be entirely new to their ears. Featured artists on this New York based comp include Liquid Dope, Mike Delgado, The Force, Johnick, Tronco Traxx, DJ Duke, E-Smoove, Robbie Rivera, Ray Roc and more.
